Alexia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounts and Banking), Bachelor of Accountancy Honours degree and a Masters in Financial Services from the University of Malta. She is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Practising Certificate in Auditing and is also a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
Alexia has 8 years post qualification experience, including 3 years working within the Audit function of a Big-4 accounting firm and 4 years working as an analyst at MFSA. Alexia is presently working as a management accountant with a software company. She has also read for an International Certificate in Risk Management and a National Diploma in Teaching Adults.
Andrei's main areas of specialisation are finance and debt restructuring, banking, investment services and energy law. Andrei has been actively involved in M&A and corporate finance, both locally and internationally, including a number of cases with a cross-border emphasis. He also advises on regulatory aspects relating to credit and financial institutions, and investment service providers. Andrei frequently assists in the setting up of trusts in Malta.
Andrew Borg Cardona
Andrew specialises in commercial and labour law, representing clients in negotiations, conciliation and arbitration proceedings, as well as advising on the impact of legislation on their operational structures. He is also concerned with financial services law, contract and company work, with connected litigation. Andrew is a member of the MdR Fraud Network, a network co-ordinated by the London firm Mishcon de Reya enabling members to be of mutual assistance, particularly in the area of asset recovery and protection on a trans-national level.
Antoine has experience in trademark enforcement, opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark clearance, investigation, prosecution and management of domestic and international trademark portfolios.
He has represented a substantial number of multinational companies in anti-counterfeiting matters in collaboration with the Maltese Customs authorities, in particular in Customs cross-border measures and related Court litigation.
Antoine has also acted as (part-time) lecturer at the University of Malta in the Master of Laws (Magister Juris) in European & Comparative Law course (since 2003) and in the Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) course (since 2010), in both cases lecturing on intellectual property law. Antoine is also an examiner and supervisor of Doctor of Laws theses and Research Projects at the University of Malta.
Ayrton has over 8 years of experience in managing challenging Human Resources environments and is responsible for determining and providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategies, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organisational and performance management, labour relations, health and safety and compensation.
Brian is an Academic Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel Development, a Fellow of the Cambridge European Society and a recipient of the Guinness/Irish Management Institute Sir Charles Harvey Medal. In 2015 Brian was the overall recipient of the DCU President's award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, having previously won the new lecturer category award. Brian's research has received over 15 Best Paper awards and has been published in the Human Resource Management Journal, International Journal of Human Resource Management and Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations.
Calvin holds a B. Psy (Hons) degree from the University of Malta and an M. Sc. in Occupational Psychology from the University of Leicester. Over these past years, he has held a number of roles in human resources, including consultancy and in-house positions. He is also a regular author and contributor in a number of local business journals, and author of books for children, including Balloon in the Sky. He holds particular interest and expertise in recruitment, assessment and quantitative analyses having gained exposure in these through academic as well as work experiences.
After Graduating in Psychology from the University of Malta, Christine joined a renowned recruitment agency as a Recruitment Executive. This position helped her to develop her recruitment skills on a number of different levels and gave her an insight on how various industries operate whilst also having the opportunity to deliver in-house and external training. Currently, Christine is employed as an HR Manager with an international company named Comlux Aviation Group, a company that manages VIP aircrafts, where she plays a key HR role. Christine believes that it is the people that brand a company and she puts a lot of weight in recruiting the right talent and investing in the employee’s well-being.
Christine has assisted various local and international companies in human resources matters, such as contract drafting, unfair dismissal claims, transfers of business and collective redundancies, as well as represented clients before the Maltese Industrial Tribunal and courts. Christine has also participated in educational seminars organised for the human resources industry as lecturer in this field. Furthermore, forming part of the litigation team, Christine specialises in insurance claims, representing a major insurance company in Malta and also individual claimants in insurance related matters.
Claude Micallef Grimaud
Claude is a Senior Associate at Mamo TCV Advocates having first joined the firm in June 2008. His main area of practice includes advising and acting as counsel for foreign and local clients in all intellectual property matters (particularly Copyright cases, Anti-Counterfeiting actions and Trademark issues) including litigation, contract negotiation and drafting, registration procedures and licensing/franchising matters.

Ilona graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta in 2012. Thereafter, she pursued her Master of Laws with specialisation in Banking and Finance with the University of London, Queen Mary and obtained her LL.M in 2013. In 2013, she enrolled with the University of Birmingham whereby she is currently reading for a PhD (Law) and will submit her thesis in September 2017. She has worked in private practice at the Courts of Malta for two years after graduation. She is currently employed at the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) whereby she mainly focuses on market abuse, but is also currently working on other legislations that need to come into force in Malta.

Kim is a warranted Organisational Psychologist and a Human Resources professional whose career started eight years ago in the pharmaceutical industry. Lisa commenced her legal practice in civil litigation and then proceeded to join the Corporate Department of Deloitte (Malta) where she assisted in the restructuring of companies. She then moved on to join the Office for Competition, which today forms part of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority where she headed the regulated sector Directorate and was involved in both antitrust and M&A investigations. In 2014 Lisa was recruited as Senior Associate, forming part of the Regulatory, EU and Litigation practice group. She is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta for the Master of Laws programme in European and Comparative Law.

Lisa is an organisational psychologist and Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Psychology at Dublin City University Business School. Her research interests lie in the areas of trust development and motivation. Maryna has eight years’ experience in audit and joined EY Malta in January 2012. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since June 2012 and has Master’s degree (Honor) in international economics. Maryna focuses on ISA and PCAOB audits of foreign and local clients in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP standards. Maryna has been facilitating and managing audits of consolidated and standalone accounts and assisting related assurance procedures for companies operating in energy & resources, IT development, insurance, transportation, leisure and hospitality.
Matthew is mainly involved in the Employment and Pensions areas of law. He believes in connecting both the human and the corporate aspects of legislation. Matthew is a co-founder and the General Secretary of the Malta Association of Retirement Scheme Practitioners (MARSP), which brings together all the licensed pension administrators in Malta.
He is also a member of the Lex Mundi European Employment Practices Group and delivers lectures at the Malta Employers Association on Employment Legislation. Furthermore, Matthew is the co-author of the Malta volume of the Kluwer Encyclopedia on Labour law and the author of a number of articles in local and foreign magazines and journals in relation to both Employment and Pensions legislation.

Paul is a lawyer specialising in Labour Law, Data Protection and TMT Law. After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, Diploma of Notary Public and Doctor of Laws at the University of Malta in 2006, he earned his Master of Laws (LLM) in the subject grouping ‘Computer and Communications Law’ at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
Reuben received his education at St Aloysius College and graduated in law from the University of Malta in 1993. He was admitted to the Bar in 1994 and has been a member of the Bar ever since. In 1998 he was elected to the Board of the Chamber of Advocates and was appointed its President in 2011, a position he held until March 2015, the maximum period allowed by the Chamber's statute. He is also the head of the Maltese delegation at the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). He is also a member of the International Bar Association.
He has served as a Director on the Board of the Malta Communications Authority, the national regulator responsible for electronic communications, electronic commerce and the postal sector, between 2001 and 2009. Between 2009 and 2011, he held the post of Chairman of the Malta Resources Authority which is the national regulator for energy, water and resources and is also responsible for oil exploration and climate change.

Ron Galea Cavallazzi
Ron is actively involved in Public Procurement, Aviation law, Employment and Industrial Relations, Information Technology, Energy and General Commercial law.
Ron's experience in the field of Public Procurement includes advice to local government entities and other contracting entities locally as well as international companies. He has handled a number of major procurement procedures. These include: Malta’s international airport, oil exploration and extraction projects, projects for the procurement of energy from a renewable source, the construction of a power generation plant and the procurement of an HVAC submarine interconnector cable.
Roselyn Borg Knight
Roselyn has been practising law for the past 14 years. She graduated as a lawyer in 2002 and
practised employment law with the Malta Employers’ Association until 2006, when she moved
to the UK where she then set up her own boutique law firm, specialising in employment law.
She concentrated primarily on disputes concerning employment matters and represented both
employers and employees in Industrial Tribunal cases.
Roselyn returned to Malta in 2011 and set up Twenty-one Law.
After graduating from the UK in MSc ISIB Steve joined HSBC Global Asset Management in Malta as a Senior Investment Officer. Steve is now a consultant within Transaction Advisory Services Dept at EY, working on banking and asset management related projects.

Yseult Freeney a Lecturer in Organisational Psychology in Dublin City University Business School in Ireland and completed her PhD in Psychology in University College Dublin as a Scholar. She is particularly interested in work engagement, the creation of positive, fulfilling work experiences and the management of engagement and well-being through transitions in people’s lives. Yseult was awarded an IRCHSS Post-doctoral Research Fellowship in 2009 to continue her work in the area of work engagement in Trinity College Dublin. Yseult has extensive experience in leading cutting edge healthcare research. For almost a decade, her work has focused on the practice environment of nurses and midwives, most recently leading an investigation of work engagement in the Dublin maternity hospitals. Her work has also included a large scale study of junior physicians' experiences of work and professional training. In line with her expertise in the area, Yseult acts as a regular reviewer for the top ranked International Journal of Nursing Studies.
